DepicT Films I like

Cool Unicorn Bruv
I like this film because they put a mythical creature in the streets of a city. They made it normalized as the characters weren't surprised and the owner said it's 'just' a unicorn as if it wasn't unusual. I like how the original scene is a guy trying to sell a bike on the streets but then it changes with the entrance of the unicorns. Unicorns are usually associated with fantasy and young girls, so it created comedy when the man lost interest in the bike and wanted to ask about the unicorn.

The Date
In this film, I like how they created a peaceful atmosphere using a peaceful countryside setting with a picnic and romantic music. At the end, they made the audience jump when a dinosaur appears and eats the strawberry that the girl was being given by her boyfriend. This made me laugh because the dinosaur appeared from nowhere and the man looked more annoyed about their moment being ruined than scared or freaked out that there is a dinosaur.

Fish and I
I like this video because the audience is led to believe that the blind man is feeling the floor to find his fish but then he actually feels a hole in the ground and blocks it so that he can cover the ground in water for the fish. I like the shot of the man's hands across the floor because the audience can see the fish behind the jug and that it is just out of reach of the man. This fills with audience with dread as they want the man to reach further and find the fish. My favorite shot is the end shot; which is a close up where we are able to see the fish swim to the man's hand, reflecting that even though the man couldn't find the fish, the fish could find him. This creates an emotional scene and makes the audience feel relieved and say 'aww' at the sweet action of the fish, almost cuddling into the man's hand.   I also like the repeated shots of the man pouring the water because it emphasizes his urgency and shows the water level rising as the shots move lower to the ground.

Best Friends
I like how this film is narrated with a poem and there are lots of close up shots to show the closeness between the girls. There are shots of them together, including being at the park, a place where everyone went with their friends when they were young. The colours are bright and positive, with golden sunlight. This created an atmosphere of joy. The clips line up to what the narrator is describing and the clips show how much fun the best friends are having, as they laugh. I like how there are point of view shots to show the friend's perspective and shots where it looks like you are with the two best friends.
As I was falling
This film shows the oblivious people around as the man is falling to his death. There are scenes such a woman sipping tea, making things seem normal or peaceful. However the people don't notice the man falling. This suggests that no one cares enough about the man. I like how the camera zooms in on the man falling, such as in a reflection. The audience is made to care about the event, as the characters are unaware. The sudden jumps as the shots get more zoomed in look unnatural, showing that the man shouldn't have been ignored and should not have died. This also created tension.
